Refund Policy

While we strive to make sure that all your movement bookings go without issues, we, however, understand that issues may arise. The Youcab Tranvia App makes it easy for you to book a vehicle at a fair price. If you are not satisfied with the vehicle you got, or you don’t like your experience with the driver, you can always rate the drive and share your ratings. Should there be an error with the price or you believe you have been unduly charged, you can always reach out to our Support Center. If you are eligible for a refund, you will be refunded.

Not all complaints get refunded, but we assure you that if your complaint meets our Refund Policy requirement, you will receive partial or full refund of the money you paid. It is important that you inform us of any refund complaint you may have within 30 days. Our Evaluation team go through the complaints one by one to make sure every complaint is treated fairly. To help you understand the complaints that might get a partial or full refund, we have shared some examples below.

Here are examples of when you may be eligible to receive a partial or full refund:

  • If you experience technical issue or was charged in error when making a booking.
  • You were priced higher than the original price you saw on the app before booking as long as you did not change your destination or added stops.
  • Your trip did not end within a considerable walking distance to your stated destination.
  • If you had fraud concerns, or you or the intended driver did not take the trip.

Here are some examples of when you will not be eligible for a partial or full refund:

  • You have issues with the type of vehicle dispatched for your movement. If you would like to complain about the vehicle, please contact our Customer center or make use of Youcab Tranvia’s 2-way rating system to rate the driver’s vehicle.
  • If you mistakenly chose the wrong vehicle for your movement.
  • If the driver did not meet your expectations in terms of quality. Remember that you can always rate the driver or reach out to us through our Customer center with your feedback.
  • On-trip routing issue or on-trip delay caused by unavoidable circumstances such as road construction, traffic, a stop or a change in destination after your trip has started.

Request Submission and Refunds

If your request falls under the issues that may be eligible for refund, please submit a request to our customer service team at https://www.youcabservice.com/ or through the Youcab Tranvia App within 30 days of encountering an issue. Once your issue is confirmed eligible, you will receive a refund within 3 to 5 business days which will be made to the same payment method you originally used in conducting the transaction.

False Reports

Do bear in mind that our team thoroughly go through every request. Providing us with false information regarding your trip violates Youcab Tranvia’s Community Guidelines which may lead to your request being denied. In severe cases, your account might be disabled.

Please note that Youcab Tranvia is a digital marketplace that helps users find drivers and customers all within the app. Drivers reserve the right to accept or reject a trip.

Before starting a trip, Youcab Tranvia will provide the following details:

  • The actual price as well as the estimated time of arrival all in the app
  • Driver’s name, license plate number, and the type of vehicle
  • If it is not commercial vehicle/ yellow plate , report to customer care immediately by APP and call.

As a customer, your duty is to cross check the information provided in the app with the details of the driver and vehicle designated to you. Make sure everything reads correctly and the quality is as expected. Should you accept to take the trip, it means you have accepted the terms of service and will pay for the trip once it ends.

Privacy Policy

Youcab Tranvia is an intermediary service providing a platform that helps drivers connect with customers. In order to provide this services, we ask for certain personal information which is displayed on the App. When you use the service available at our App, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of information about yourself as described in this Privacy Policy.

It is a platform for consumers to find third party drivers near them, who have access to the App. The Company does not provide any services to users other than sharing their locations and mobile number or contact details.The Company is not and cannot be a party to any transaction between driver and customer, or have any control, involvement or influence over the services received by you from such third-party sellers/drivers.

We may change this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a revised Privacy Policy on this page. Such changes will be effective upon posting. In every respect, by using the App, you agree to be bound by terms of this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is effective from registration and installation of app, and continues until revoked by the Company.

We respect your privacy and recognize the need to protect the personally identifiable information (any information by which you can be identified, such as name, address, and telephone number) you share with us. We would like to assure you that we follow appropriate standards when it comes to protecting your privacy on our websites. There are times when we may collect personal information from you such as name, physical address or telephone number. It is our intent to inform you before we do that and to tell you what we intend to do with the information. Generally, you will have the option not to provide the information, and in the future you will be able to "opt out" of certain uses of the information.

If you choose not to provide the information we request, you can still visit the Youcab Tranvia website & App, but you may be unable to access certain options, offers and services. YouCab Tranvia will not sell, trade or disclose to third parties any information derived from the registration for, or use of, any online service (including names and addresses) without the consent of the user or customer (except as required by court, Government, subpoena, search warrant, or other legal process or in the case of imminent physical harm to the user or others).

Youcab Tranvia will take appropriate steps to protect the information you share with us. We have implemented technology and security features and strict policy guidelines to safeguard the privacy of your personally identifiable information from unauthorized access and improper use or disclosure. Youcab Tranvia will continue to enhance our security procedures as new technology becomes available. If our privacy policy changes in the future, it will be posted here and a new effective date will be shown.

Information we collect and how we use it.

When you visit the App or use our Service, we collect and store information about you, your computer or mobile device and your activities. This information may include, but is not limited to:

  • Your computer’s IP address; technical information about your computer or mobile device (such as type of device, web browser or operating system).
  • Your mobile device’s unique ID number (when available), your mobile device’s geographic location (specific geographic location if you’ve enabled collection of that information, or general geographic location automatically).
  • Your full name, email address, physical address and other information you may provide with your account, such as your gender and birth date. You may optionally provide us with this information through third party sign-in services such as Facebook and Google. In such cases, we fetch and store whatever information is made available to us by you through these sign-in services.

Contacts List

When you sync your contacts with our Services, we import and store the contacts list to our servers. You have the option to deny us access to your contacts list. We also receive personal data (including contact information) about you when others import or sync their contacts with our Services. We collect your contacts to help you show who among your contacts have used Youcab Tranvia book on behalf of others and select emergency contacts.

Location Information

When you give location permission, we access the device's geographic location (specific geographic location that is derived from your GPS. We collect this information to provide and show you the nearest cab available.

If you sign up to use our Services as a vendor or Partner (Third Party Transport Service Provider), Profile Picture (user image), copies of government identification documents and other details (KYC), vehicle related documents such as insurance, pollution certificate etc. and such other documents which evidence the health or fitness of the vehicle to provide Services on the Youcab Tranvia Platform, call, and SMS details.

How long you use our service and which features you used

We gather information from members and guests who apply for the various services that our App offers. It includes, but may not be limited to, email address, first name, last name, a user-specified password, e-mail Id, mailing address, zip code, location and telephone number or fax number. We collect information primarily to ensure that we are able to fulfil your requirements and to deliver personalized experience.

Your Consent

By using the App, you consent to the terms of our Privacy Policy and to the App’s processing of Personal Information for the purposes given above as well as those explained where we collect personal information on the web.

Price Policy

The Youcab Tranvia App makes it easy for you to book a vehicle at a fair price. If you are not satisfied with the vehicle you got, or you don’t like your experience with the driver, you can always rate the drive and share your ratings. Should there be an error with the price or you believe you have been unduly charged, you can always reach out to our Support Center. If you are eligible for a refund, you will be refunded.

Cab fare prices may increase during peak times or festival sessions because of lesser availability of cabs. If after confirming the booking and the customer chooses to cancel due to the increase in price, especially after the Driver details have been sent, no refund will be made to the customer.

Pricing algorithm, which adjusts rates based on a number of factor, such as time and distance of your route/road, traffic, the current rider and driver demand. Sometimes, this can mean temporary increase in price /fair during particularly busy hours/time.

Price will be shown during the staring of booking and also for driver during the booking sent. User and driver have right to deny the book or not to accept it.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

You have the option to cancel your booking with us at any time before the scheduled date and time of pickup. To do so, you can utilize the Youcab Tranvia Mobile App/Website by logging in with your registered credentials, or you can contact us via phone at any time using our 24x7 Customer Support on our website/APP under support/Help section.

If you decide to cancel your One Way, Local Rental or Airport Transfer booking, the following terms and conditions will apply:

  • If the cancellation occurs within 4 hour of the scheduled pickup date and time, it will be considered a No-Show, and no refund will be given. The entire Booking Amount/Advance will be treated as Cancellation Charges.
  • If the cancellation is made between 4 and 24 hours before the scheduled pickup date and time, a Cancellation Charge of 15% of the actual Booking Amount or on the other hand, the actual Advance amount received from the Customer (depending on the one that is lesser) will be applicable. Any remaining balance will be refunded to your main method of payment method within 21 days.

For cancellations related to Taxi Packages/Round Trips/Tour Packages/ Holiday Packages/ Wedding Car Rentals/ Road Trips/ CharDham Yatra/ one-way bookings/Multi-city trips/, the following terms and conditions will apply:

  • All request for cancellation especially for taxi packages or tour packages must be submitted via email, which can be found on our website/APP.
  • If the tour/taxi package is canceled 30 or more days before the actual pickup date and time, a full refund of the total amount will be credited to the Customer's account within 30 days.
  • If the booking is canceled between 7 and 15 days before the actual tour pickup date and time, 50% of the advance amount will be charged, and the remaining balance will be refunded to the Customer's account within 21 days.
  • If the booking is canceled between 2 and 6 days prior to the actual tour pickup date and time, 75% of the advance amount will be charged, and the remaining balance will be refunded to the Customer's account within 21 days.
  • If the Taxi Package, Holiday Package, or Tour Package is canceled between 16 and 30 days prior to the tour pickup date and time, 25% of the advance rate will be charged, and the remaining balance will be refunded to the Customer's account within 21 days.

Cancellation Policy – Youcab Tranvia

In the event of a booking cancellation between 1 to 48 hours prior to the scheduled pickup time for Trip or Tour Packages, refunds will not be made. Once driver/vendor details have been shared, refunds will no longer be made.

Can I cancel my booking when the journey has started?

  • Yes, you can cancel your booking trip at any point of the journey, but the full booking amount will be made to Youcab Tranvia. Failure to pay the estimated booking amount will result in the requirement to pay the full booking amount.
  • Youcab Tranvia follows a Zero Cancellation Policy, therefore, the Cancellation Amount will be credited to the Customer's account. This amount can be redeemed in full or in part for any future Youcab Tranvia Bookings. Customers can log in to Youcab Tranvia using their credentials to check their account balance.
  • If the customer fails to inform the company within 30 minutes of the pickup time, using their registered number, regarding the driver's denial to embark on the trip, it will be regarded as a no-show and no refund will be made to the customer.
  • If, for any reason, your driver/vendor delays excessively in reaching you, the cancellation charge will be waived if you request a cancellation.
  • If you do not show up where you are to be picked up, this will mean a no-show from your end, meaning you were not at your pickup location, it could also mean that your assigned driver/vendor is unable to reach you on your registered phone number at the scheduled pickup time, the driver/vendor will wait for about half 15 Min from the scheduled booking time. If no communication with driver or company, Afterward, the booking will be treated as canceled with no refund.

It is the Customer's responsibility to inform Youcab Tranvia at least 24 hours prior to the pickup time if there will be a delay or if they need to reschedule the pickup date and time. The customer will have to confirm from Youcab Tranvia regarding the availability of the car at the rescheduled time.

In the event that the assigned driver/vendor cancels the ride without providing valid reasons at the last hour, and the customer did not get another cab from Youcab Tranvia within a reasonable time, the customer will be entitled to coins equal to the complete advance amount paid for the booking. These coins can be used in the future as it has no expiry date.

If your booking is canceled as a result of unavoidable external factors such as floods, fire, an epidemic, lockouts, strikes, lockouts, riots, terrorist acts or similar forces, or due to force majeure, you will receive the complete advance payment you made which will be deposited into your Youcab Tranvia wallet. This amount can be used at any time in the future.

If after matching you with a driver/vendor and taxi and you choose to cancel, it will be regarded as a no-show with no refunds made to you. The booking advance made will be taken as cancellation charges.

To cancel a booking, you need to do so from your end using your registered email ID via your Youcab Tranvia customer account ID. If you encounter any issues, kindly reach us through our website/mail/call https://www.youcabservice.com while providing all the necessary details.

Any cancellations for services and products made during offline sales or online or during special events like Holi, Pongal, Dussehra, Diwali, Christmas, New Year, CharDham Yatra, or booking made for weddings during the weekend shall not be entertained. These events are only limited occasion offers, and therefore no cancellation or refund will be entertained.

Youcab Tranvia reserves the right to change the driver, luxury car, or taxi details before the customer boards the vehicle. But this is where there is a case of vehicle breakdown or other genuine reasons at the driver/vendor's end. Any refund or cancellation requests will not be entertained in situations.

Should there be an agitation, natural calamity, lockdown, a strike, road construction work, or heavy traffic, Youcab Tranvia will not be held responsible for any cancellation due to delay. Therefore, no refund will be made.

If any delay (heavy traffic, vehicle breakdown, agitation, natural calamity, lockdown, a strike, road construction work or any reason) due to in reaching the airport/public service/ train or any mode of transportation/destination, Youcab Tranvia will not be held responsible for this cause.

If you qualify for refunds having met our cancellation and refund policy, the refund will be credited back to your Youcab Tranvia wallet within 21 business days. You can use the wallet amount anytime to pay for future trips in part or in full.

If applicable, all refunds will be made to your initial method of payment or to your Youcab Tranvia wallet. This can be redeemed by the customer to pay for future trips anywhere in India. Once used, you will no longer be able to apply for a refund.

It is necessary that both the driver and the customer submit a properly signed complete duty slip with the date clearly showing at the end of the trip. Youcab Tranvia will not entertain any disputes that is lacking a duty slip.

JURISDICTION

We do not bear any responsibility in any disputes between vendors/drivers and customers. Nevertheless, if necessary, the jurisdiction for such and any dispute with Youcab Tranvia will be treated in the district court only.

Location Information Policy

How Youcab Tranvia uses rider location information

You will see a request prompted by your device for permission to share your location information when you sign up for Youcab Tranvia, which includes location data collected via Bluetooth and nearby wifi signals. For the best service available, the app by default asks you to turn on location services “while using the app” using “precise location.”

We use location data to:

  • Find drivers that are near you and help them navigate to your pickup spot
  • Display trip history in your receipts
  • Understand and resolve support tickets
  • To troubleshoot and solve software bugs
  • Location settings options
For iOS devices

We may collect location information at any time, even when you’re not actively using the Youcab Tranvia app. If a service needs Always, we’ll ask for your permission when you enable the service.

  • While Using the App: We may collect location information when the app is visible on your screen or when you have requested a ride and during your trip. You’ll get an iOS notification on screen if location is being collected in the background when you are in the While Using setting.
  • Never: This option disables location services for the YouCab Tranvia app. You can still use the app, but you’ll need to enter your pickup and dropoff locations manually. Location information will be collected from the driver during your trip and linked to your account, even if you have disabled location services for your app.
  • Precise Location: This option disables precision location services for the Youcab Tranvia app. When off, you can still use the app, but you’ll need to enter your pickup and dropoff locations manually. Precise Location information will be collected from the driver during your trip and linked to your account, even if you have disabled precise location services for your app.
For Android devices
  • While Using the App: We may collect location information when the app is visible on your screen or when you have requested a ride and during your trip. You’ll get a notification on screen if location is being collected in the background when you are in the While Using setting.
  • Only this time: This option enables the location services for the Youcab Tranvia app only for this instance. If you select this option, you’ll be prompted again with the location permissions the next time you use the Youcab Tranvia app.
  • Don’t allow: This option disables location services for the Youcab Tranvia app. You can still use the app, but you’ll need to enter your pickup and drop-off locations manually. Location information will be collected from the driver during your trip and linked to your account, even if you have disabled location services for your app.
  • Approximate Location: This option disables precision location services for the Youcab Tranvia app. When selected, you can still use the app, but you’ll need to enter your pickup and drop-off locations manually. Approximate Location information will be collected from the driver during your trip and linked to your account, even if you have disabled precise location services for your app.

You can always manage your location settings in your device’s location preferences under the mobile setting.

Sharing with cities and governments

In some instances, we are required to share information about the orders placed with our service with cities, governments and local transportation authorities.

To meet these requirements, we collect geolocation and timestamp data from the vehicles on our platform. This data provides cities with information on where each order starts, stops, and the route taken. None of the order data we provide to cities is collected from your personal mobile device or directly identifies you, but the data could be identifiable to you, with some effort. In such cases, we’ll inform you before the trip.

There are special circumstances, such as preventing fraud and responding to safety incidents, where Youcab Tranvia may collect background location for any user in the While Using setting.

We treat your location information in accordance with our User Privacy Notice.

Youcab Tranvia exclusively owns and holds the lawful license for all rights to the contents on its website, mobile application, or any other digital media contents. The content includes design, text, layout, graphics, video, sounds, images, and more.

YOU RECOGNIZE THAT YOUCAB TRANVIA DOES NOT OFFER TRANSPORTATION OR LOGISTICS SERVICES, NOR OPERATE AS A CARRIER FOR TRANSPORTATION. ALL SUCH LOGISTICS OR TRANSPORTATION SERVICES ARE RENDERED BY INDEPENDENT THIRD-PARTY CONTRACTORS WHO ARE NOT IN ANY WAY EMPLOYEES OF YOUCAB TRANVIA OR ITS ASSOCIATES.

LICENSE

Conditional upon your adherence to these Terms, Youcab Tranvia provides you with a restricted, revocable, non-sublicensable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to:

  1. access and utilize the Applications on your personal device only in conjunction with your utilization of the Services; and
  2. access and employ any information, content, and associated materials accessible through the Services, exclusively for your personal, noncommercial purposes. Youcab Tranvia and its licensors reserve any rights not explicitly granted herein.

RESTRICTIONS

You are prohibited from:

  1. eliminating any trademark, copyright, or other proprietary notices from any part of the Services;
